This Song was the first time i remember falling in Love with a female singer.I still think it knocks spots of Rod Stewarts later cover version..For some strange reason ,it reminds me of travelling up to Cumbria to watch Halifax play Workington in a Cup Match!

This Month sees the rerelease of 3 of my favourite albums. They all are "remixed""renhanced" & have previously unreleased tracks.I guess that means i have to "rebuy" them!
The first two are Gram Parsons "GP" & "Grevious Angel". The Complete Reprise Recordings expand things from 2 to 3 discs.Loads of alternative-takes that Uncut reckons surpass the original releases.Should Be A Sound Investment. (boom-boom!)
Also on Rhino Records Uncut review,s an updated/remixed/bonus/edition of PARIS 1919 .Its not mentioned on the Rhino website yet (?) Maybe out later in the month? Now to my ears John Cale has been a bit patchy over the years. However, this album, with its odd, transparent lyrics,is one of my alltime standalone bits of music.
Once I get them, let me know if you care me to burn?
