"I stared, dumbfounded, at a sign bearing this proclamation at the site of the original 1969 Woodstock. No smoking? I’m sorry, but is it possible for the entire staff of Bethel Woods Center for the Arts to have suffered massive memory loss and forgotten just where they were? A girl wearing rhinestone sunglasses strolled past me, talking on her cell phone: "Yeah, I’m at a Bob Dylan concert. Yeah, I dunno, I don’t really like him......................" read more of this groovy review of a recent Dylan Concert

Vienna 1981- Bob Dylan Vienna Street Interview

See how much Bob Dylan makes....................................
He hasn’t yet signed a final deal for his O.C. Fair appearance Thursday, but a contract for Dylan’s opening act says he’s going to get $325,000, of which about $15,000 would go to his opening performer. Without being too specific about our own finances, that means Dylan will rake in more in one night than Niyaz and I make in more than five years. And a lot of his songs are remakes - what a gip.

We also learned what many of the other acts are getting for a couple hours work. Take a look at these rounded figures and join us in feeling sad about your paycheck.

Daughtry: $175,000
Earth, Wind & Fire: $150,000
Willie Nelson: $125,000
Lynyrd Skynyrd: $100,000
Kenny Loggins: $100,000
Heart: $100,000
“Weird Al” Yancovic: $46,500 per night ($232,500 total)
